Supported Operating Systems

BlueFuse Multi Software

Illumina currently supports the following desktop operating systems for BlueFuse Multi Software:

  • Windows 7: x86 and x64
  • Windows 8.1: x86 and x64

Note: BeadChip arrays require an x64 operating system.

BlueFuse Multi Server

Illumina currently supports the following server operating systems for BlueFuse Server:

  • Windows Server 2008: x86 and x64 (excluding Server Core installations)
  • Windows Server 2008 R2: x64 (excluding Server Core installations)
  • Windows Server 2012 (and R2): x64 (excluding Server Core installations)

Note: BeadChip arrays require an x64 operating system.

Hardware requirements for BlueFuse Multi and BlueFuse Multi Server Softwares are listed in Tables 1 and 2, respectively

Disk Space Requirements

The disk space requirements (including the image/gtc file and the analysis files) for any BlueFuse database depend upon the type of array being processed (Table 3). Annotation databases require significant amounts of disk space (Table 4). These disk space requirements do not include backups of databases.
