DMAPs are:

• the map file for the location of probes on a BeadChip
• unique to each BeadChip, and required to scan BeadChips
• downloaded using the Decode File Client software
• available 24–48 hours after your BeadChips are shipped

Install the Decode File Client to download DMAPs:

• Click here to download the DMAP Decode File Download Utility.
• Click here to find the System Requirements for DMAP Decode File Download Utility v3.0.2.
• The Decode File Client software works with any PC that has internet access (port 80) and for which you have rights to install new programs.
• Make sure that both outgoing and incoming network access is allowed by your institution. The Decode File Client has no firewall or security restrictions.

Download the DMAPs:

1. Log in to the Decode File Client using the Access by BeadChip option with your MyIllumina user ID and password.
   1. Your user ID (email) and password are case-sensitive.
   2. If you do not have a MyIllumina account, navigate to the MyIllumina sign in page and click Register now.
2. After logging in, enter 2 of the following pieces of information, 1 in the Primary Field and 1 in the Verification field:
   1. List of BeadChip Barcodes
   2. List of BeadChip Box IDs
   3. Purchase Order (PO) number
   4. Illumina Sales Order number (do not include the letters that follow the numbers)

   Note: The information entered in the Primary Field dictates the search results. Entering the barcodes or box IDs in the Primary Field limits your results to those items, whereas entering the PO or Sales Order in the Primary Field will give you all items within that order.

3. Select the DMAPs you want to download.
4. Specify the destination to which you want to save the DMAPs.
5. Click Start Download.

Best practices:

• Make sure that the two types of information you enter in the Primary and Verification fields are associated, eg, the correct Box ID for a barcode, or the correct Sales Order number for Box ID.
• Make sure the download location (computer or network) has sufficient disk space.
• For large orders of BeadChips or to improve download speed:
  • Download in smaller batches using the box IDs or barcodes in the primary field, rather than the sales order number or purchase order number.
  • Download to the local drive instead of a network drive.
• Prior to starting the Infinium assay, download DMAPs to confirm availability.
